EcuInside is free to use. It reads files and cars and never changes either.
Results
We show you what we found and how sure we are, but we can be wrong. Check the label on the ECU or your tool before you rely on a file result. A car check is information, not an inspection, and not legal, warranty or insurance advice.
- “Signs of changed engine software” means a module reported a fingerprint different from most other cars with the same software ID.
- “No sign of tuning found” means what it says. It doesn’t prove the software was never changed: a car can be flashed back to stock, and some tools make changed software report the factory fingerprint.
- Car results depend on other people’s checks and can change as more cars are added.
Your part
- Only upload files you have the right to use. We don’t provide files, maps, definitions or modifications.
- Only check a car you own, or with the owner’s permission. Run the check parked, never while driving, and follow your adapter’s instructions.
- Don’t send made-up checks or automated bulk uploads. We remove data we believe is fake and may refuse use that looks like abuse.
No warranty
The service comes without a warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for decisions made from a result, such as buying or not buying a car, or for anything your adapter does.
These terms may change; the version on this page is the one that applies. Your local laws apply to your use.
